PLUM CRAZY QUAIL

4 Quail (cut into pieces if desired)
1 jar plum preserves
½  stick butter
salt, pepper and thyme to taste

Melt butter in frying pan and brown Quail. Add ¼ cup water to Quail, cover and cook on low until done. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and thyme. Just before serving add plum preserves and cover until heated through. When ready to serve cover with the drippings.
