Game & Fish Dish
LITTLE DAVE'S SMOTHERED DOVES

½ stick butter plus 3 tbs.
¼  cup flour
2 cups Chicken broth
1 cup sliced mushrooms
salt and pepper to taste

Cook rice. Brown Doves in ½ stick of butter in a heavy skillet. Place Doves in a baking dish. Make gravy from the remainder of butter, flour and Chicken broth, salt and pepper to taste. Pour over in baking dish and bake approximately 1 hour. Add mushrooms for the last 15 minutes of cooking. Serve over cooked rice.
