DOVES WITH CREAM GRAVY

½ teaspoon salt
•
1 cup all purpose flour
•
¼ teaspoon pepper
•
6-8 Doves
•
vegetable oil for frying
•
3 cups milk
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge Doves in flour mixture. Brown in hot oil in skillet. Remove Doves. To prepare gravy, drain all but ¼ cup pan drippings. Add flour to pan, blending well. When smooth, add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until gravy is thickened. Return Doves to pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
